Warwick gears up for the return of The Classic Car Show on Sunday 16th August

The streets of Warwick will once again be filled with the gleam of polished chrome and the hum of engines when the Warwick Classic Car Show returns on Sunday, 16th August.

From 8am to 5pm, Market Place and surrounding streets will be transformed into an open-air museum of motoring history, with more than 140 pre-1990 classics, kit cars, hot rods, vans and even the odd lorry on display.

The event is completely free; for both visitors and those bringing along their vintage pride and joy.

The Warwick Classic Car Show is organised and hosted by Warwick Court Leet, which sees the show as a celebration of the town’s spirit as much as a showcase for motoring heritage.

Expect to see vehicles spanning decades of design and engineering, from post-war British classics to American muscle cars, each lovingly maintained by their owners.

What began over a decade ago as a modest meet-up of enthusiasts, known then as RetroWarwick, has grown into one of the town’s most popular summer fixtures. Since 2017, The Warwick Classic Car Show has been organised and hosted by Warwick Court Leet, which sees the show as a celebration of the town’s spirit as much as a showcase for motoring heritage.

“This is more than just a line-up of beautiful cars,” said Richard Eddy, Herald of Warwick Court Leet. “It’s about bringing the community of Warwick together, welcoming visitors, and showing off the best of Warwick. We owe a huge thanks to the classic car owners, drivers, enthusiasts and the volunteers from Warwick Court Leet, in addition to our sponsors Classic Car Auctions by Iconic Auctioneers and Warringtons of Warwick. By working together, we’re delivering another free community event from Warwick Court Leet and its supporters.”

Visitors can expect to see vehicles spanning decades of design and engineering – from post-war British classics to American muscle cars – each lovingly maintained by their owners.

Alongside the cars, the town’s pubs and cafés will be open for business, alongside speciality street food stalls in Market Square offering everything from coffee to hot meals. For vintage car owners, there’s no need to book – just turn up early to secure a space. For everyone else, just bring your camera, an appetite, and a love for classic car nostalgia.
